Project Description

As modern technology advances, information flows ever more freely. With young individuals moving into the digital age, they are susceptible to the many threats and privacy risks the internet has to offer. Currently mobile phone monitoring applications employ an “all or nothing” approach which do not have multiple setting levels that would adjust which items are monitored and various thresholds to when alerts will be generated.

CD9 plans to remedy these issues with teens feeling as they are not trusted and what data parents are seeing. Our plan is to issue a mobile application that meets in the middle between parents and teens. Encouraging parents and teens to be open about mobile phone use and teens knowing that not every detail will be given to their parents while still giving parents a tool to protect their children.
