Congratulations to Alan Wright, an undergraduate who has worked with Dr. Shah for being given honorable mention in the Computing Research Association's Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher (Male) award for 2013. This national competition is very selective and thus honorable mention is itself a significant honor. Only 41 other male undergraduates were given honorable mention this year. Alan was an outstanding student in the Computer Vision Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program last summer, and has co-authored a paper that was accepted to IEEE CVPR, a prestigious conference in the area of Computer Vision.
