Andrew Miller

Andrew Miller is a Ph.D student in Computer Science. He is currently working on two projects, A) an investigation of 'gift-giving' in peer-to-peer social networks as an alternative economy, and B) an augmented reality system that helps people build and repair physical structures.

He has worked on a broad range of research projects, including 'crowdsourced' online user studies, 3D computer vision using the Kinect [1] [2], computer vision on mobile devices, motion estimation for 3D interfaces, GPU programming, robotics and UAVs.

In his spare time, Andrew experiments with aquaponics, operates a powered paraglider, rides his 'stickwheel' (a customized electronic unicycle), and practices using peer-to-peer systems like Tahoe-LAFS and bitcoin.
