Website Development/ IT Support Coordinator  

The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is a multi-sport, event-driven organization comprised of athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers participating in over 35 sports. 

The Website Development/IT Coordinator will assist with a variety of projects in the AAU Information Systems Department with day-to-day operations and development of long-term online solutions.   The position is based out of the AAU National Office located in Lake Buena Vista (Orlando), Florida. 

Salary/Wage:      $32,000
Status:                  Full Time Employee
Level:                    Entry Level

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Computer science, Information systems or equivalent experience required
  • Experience with HTML  required
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks or other design programs required
  • Knowledge of IT Support such as computer issues, backing up systems, email programs, etc
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and have some knowledge of Access and PowerPoint.
  • Must be organized and able to work through a project with little supervision
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 2003, TCP/IP, and Client/Server environments and A+ Certification are plus.
  • Experience with website publishing software required; Macromedia Dreamweaver preferred

Knowledge of: 

  • Servers such as Microsoft Windows 2000 – 2003 and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Secure Wireless Networking and Linksys Routers  
  • Firewalls such as Watchdog
  • VPN, RDP, VNC
  • Backup Software, System Restores, Ghost
  • Virus Removal and Spyware Removal Software
  • Content management software
