Senior Electrical Engineer: Electrodeless Lamps Project
Req. 8398 Location: Beverly, MA

Two positions available

BASIC PURPOSE:

Design and development of electronic control systems for new compact fluorescent light sources such as the Dura-One family of electrodeless lamps. Electrical design entails circuit design, and PCB layout, electro-mechanical and thermal considerations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Close collaboration with GL CFL SBU engineering and marketing (locally and in Drummondville); ECS Quality group (Lake Zurich, IL); ECS Manufacturing (Monterrey) and Central Research.

- Utilize APQP process for new product development.

- Perform all qualification tests to meet electrical, EMI, thermal, mechanical and environmental requirements.Drive product development process from initial concept through final product launch.

- Generate engineering documentation such as BOMs schematics, qualification reports FMEAs.

- Generate and update product qualification plans. -Work with regulatory agencies (UL, CSA, etc.) to obtain relevant regulatory approvals.

- Initiate and engage in design-to-cost programs in conjunction with product management.

- Coordinate and monitor resolution of quality issues.

- Perform competitive benchmarking in conjunction with product management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

BSEE, MSEE preferred. 3-5 years analog/power electronic design experience absolutely required. Ballast design experience desired.
