The ultimate motivation behind our project is that we want to conserve our planet for generations to come. Our population is bigger than ever before and continues to grow. Moreover, there are more people that are living in cities than in the past. We were concerned with the power consumption in today's world. We develop a smart home management system that controls and helps run most of the household electronic devices more efficiently; most of these devices are charged or powered by solar panels. The design of the smart home management system provides people with the luxury of using their smart phones, tablets or personal computers to turn ON/OFF lights, cut off electricity going to an outlet in the case that the outlet is not being used. We implemented the APP to be used within the house; in case the home owner is out of town, he/she can access the website and see what is ON or OFF, and he/she should have the capability of turning stuff ON/OFF at his/her convenience.
