About Me
I'm currently a PhD student at the University of Central Florida.
I got my Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Major from Jordan University of Science and Technology back in 2001. Then I started a job as a developer in GCESoft, a company based in Jordan. I worked there on developing applications for handheld devices, mainly using c++ on Palm handhelds. Then in 2002, I moved to work as a developer in SEDCO, a software company based in Jordan as well. I advanced from being a developer to a research and development engineer and a team leader. I worked on developing content management solutions for news agencies.
My next step was the United States, mainly Orlando, where I joined the PhD program in August 2005. I got my Masters degree in digital systems in 2007. Currently I'm studying for my PhD in Formal Methods for Real-Time Systems. My advisor is Dr. Gary Leavens. I am also currently working with Petra Solar. Petra Solar designs and manufactures the innovative, turn-key SunWave™ solar electric system for utility, commercial, and residential installations
I like playing Arabic music and singing. I play Oud (Lute) and I enjoy partying with the JOrlandos (Our nice Jordanian Group here in Orlando).
I got engaged in June 2nd 2007, and married in May 9th 2008. My wife is Hadeel Al-Atrash, she is a certified pediatrician from the Royal College of Pediatrics in UK. She is currently trying to apply for a fellowship program in the US. We are expecting to have our first baby next August.
