8 Biography

Martin Büchi is a Ph.D. student at the Turku Centre for Computer Science and at Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland, under supervision of Ralph Back. His main interests are in formal methods for distributed and parallel programs and in component software. He received a M.Sc. in computer science with a minor in philosophy from ETH Zürich in 1995.



Wolfgang Weck is a researcher at the Turku Centre for Computer Science and at Åbo Akademi University, in Turku Finland. His research interests are in language support for late composition of independently developed software components and in design of extensible component frameworks. He received his Ph.D. in 1996 from ETH Zürich for his work on component-oriented and document-centered mathematical software.
