Saeed Lotfifard is currently an assistant professor in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at University of Central Florida (UCF). He received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University
in 2011.
Dr. Lotfifard’s research interests include Power Systems Protection and Control, Cyber-physical Energy System/Smart Grid Technologies, Wide-area Monitoring, Distribution Automation, Applications of Statistical Methods
and Signal Processing in Power Systems. His current focus is on intelligent monitoring and outage management for realization of self healing networks, which is one of the most attractive features of "Smart Grid."
