Surendar Chandra is currently a visiting scientist at FX Palo Alto Lab. Earlier, he was on the faculty of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Georgia. His research interests are directed towards Operating system topics in multimedia, mobility, storage, security, networks and sensor systems. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Duke University under the supervision of Carla Schlatter Ellis. His work was supported by the Defense Intelligence Agency, HP, National Science Foundation, VMware and Yamacraw. He is the recipient of an NSF CAREER award and is a senior member of the ACM.
