Nitya Narasimhan is a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff and a 
member of the Science Advisory Board at Motorola Mobility. She works 
in advanced concept development for next generation television and mobile 
platforms with 4 issued (and over 20 pending) patents based on her contributions. 
Prior to joining Motorola, she completed her PhD at the University of California, 
Santa Barbara and played a key role in the start-up launched to commercialize 
research from that group. 

Her research interests span enterprise (fault tolerance, ad hoc networking 
and wireless sensor networks) and consumer (pervasive computing, social 
media and mobile web) domains with current focus on crowd-sourcing, 
incentives and attention management in multi-screen environments. She loves 
coffee, open APIs and shiny gadgets -- not necessarily in that order.
